The 3rd Annual H-Bomb Cup game between the two Mixed Ability Teams was played in driving rain and ankle deep mud under floodlights at Furnace RFC.
The Bumbles having travelled on a seven hour coach journey gave their all. With nothing between the two teams for the first 20 minutes a huge squad of Warriors began to gain the upper hand.
The second half became more defensive with Warriors battering the Bees line. A late surge forward from the Bumbles allowed Paul Wyatt to cross for a consolation try. After 80 minutes of competitive rugby the score finished at Warriors 31 Bumble Bees 5.
Before the game had kicked off Club Captain Mark Gray and Chairman Anthony Brooke found the time for a quick visit to the local Hospital to visit Llanelli Linesman Lewi Jones (pictured) who is on the mend after a recent stroke.
The good relationship between the two teams continued the following day with a Mixed, Mixed Ability Team! Bumbles and Warriors joined together to overcome an able-bodied Gwlad side 21-5 in Central Cardiff. The Bumbles Barbarian Lee Hainsworth taking man of the match after some outstanding runs forward.
All three teams then hit Cardiff to cheer on their respective sides in the Fuel Bar, just a few hundred metres from the Millenium Stadium.
Celebrations with our hosts continued into the early hours ending an exhausting tour.
