Self reflection time for the lads..

It's the weekend again only one thing for it Rugby time, the Bradford & Bingley Colts had an away fixture this week they had a tough game ahead against Harrogate.
Even more so going to Harrogate with just fourteen players would be an even bigger ask of the lads. Harrogate have been together for some time as their team have come through the ranks so well drilled and strong side to beat, they was light of a few players but still had more than the Bees.
From the off you could see Harrogate's game plan was to not let the Bees play, the Bees just couldn't get time on the ball to move it about this Harrogate being offside nearly all game with a few other call being missed only frustrated the Bees player to the point they lost one to the sin bin for ten minutes, not taking anything away for Harrogate nearly ever time the had ball in hand the scored, it was also a frustrating game to watch as we know the Bees can play so much better than what they did today. when they had the ball the moved it about, but Harrogate had more numbers at the breakdown and was able to turn the ball over, i don't need to beat up on the lads and this performance as they all look at each other at the end of the game and said we just gift wrapped the game for Harrogate. Even if they didn't have a full squad of player they can still tackle and defend individually not just run to watch Harrogate run straight past the Bees player. So frustrating and disappointing for the team. but lets not forget this is still a very young side as this is their third game together as a mix team there is still a lot more to come from this team, for this to Happen they lads have to get to training as a full squad week in week out by doing so can work on the basic and fitness and playing as a team, with the bunch of lads we have with in the Colts squad there as exciting time ahead down at the Hive.
Final score Harrogate 39 Bees 12 our points came from try from Byron Finn and Lewis Peel, both score two very good try's Byron running
through the Harrogate's defense for a well taken individual try and converting his own try, as for Lewis his came from some great forwards period of pressure and the Bees getting a couple of penalty's to move the up field, winning the line-out and using Josh Lawn as the battering ram to open up the Harrogate's defense and allowing Lewis the gap he needed to score a fine try. their was some positives to take away from this game playing with just fourteen players they never gave up a lot of decision didn't go their all you can do is stick to you game, there was some good pick and drives, good movement of the ball at times, but all things that can be worked on in training.
Again thank you to our parents and their taxi service also their support for the lads its not just the pitch where we are building good friendships, thank you to the first team players coming to support the lads as well. lets put this down to a bad day at the office get back on the training pitch and get ready for our next game which is Ripon at home.
