Both teams should be proud, there was great open running Rugby.

Bucking the trend the U16s was at Home again, what started out as a cold but dry morning soon warmed up, we even had sunshine
could of been mistaken for it being a summers day, hopeful things to come with all the wet weather we have had this season, the 2nd team pitch looking back to its normal self, not a boat in site and well done to the grounds man for his hard work getting all the pitches looking so good.
We welcomed Huddersfield today like us have struggled for numbers this season and have also had an up and down season with results, this week they seem to have a couple of player's more than us but guess one sub is better than none, once's again Bees struggling to get a full team but this wasn't going to stop them give it there all.
It was Bees to get the game under way with Byron kicking deep into Huddersfield half, from the first few minutes it was clear to see both team was up for a good game today, forced errors was going to play its part for both teams, it was Bees to force Huddersfield to make the first error and with Twinkle toes Henry danced his way through the defense to open the score. But Huddersfield was able to come straight back at the Bees forcing a turn over
, with some poor defense and missed tackles the score was soon level, this was going to be the story for the best part of the game such as the two teams were equally matched, but with Byron and the Twins running like they do strong and hard we was soon back up field coursing problems for Huddersfield, with a knock on for Huddersfield giving Bees a scrum 10 meters out from there try line, Byron stepping in at number 8 collecting the ball from the base to brush of the defense and go over for a try, with Byron also stepping in at 12 and scrum half it proved to be a busy morning for him, but well done for the hard work and the hard yards he made for his team to set up great platforms to work from. Once again Huddersfield having a great day in the rucks in turning Bees ball over on some occasions with easy, this gave their quick back line good attacking ball to use, Bees having a lot better game in defense today of late, it proved frustrating for Huddersfield.
It was the turn of Rees or was it his brother Jarred always hard with these two not only looking identical they also play the same Hard and strong( sorry boys if got this wrong way round ) Exc decision Rees turn to take on and beat the Huddersfield defense, there must of been the post gremlins about as disappointing for Byron wasn't having a good day with his kicking. Once again missed tackles and lack of concentration allowed Huddersfield to take the final points of the half making it 15-12 to Bees.
The second Half was very much the same as the first with both teams having opportunity's to attack, only for good defense stopping anything coming from it. This showed what a great game of rugby from both teams was being given the supporters to watch, it was again twinkle toes Henry cutting through Huddersfield defense, pining his ears back running from deep within his own half to go over for his second try of the game, Henry deserves a mention for his running of his team and making Huddersfield second guess him all game and what has to be try saving tackle of the season, with the Huddersfield player thinking he was on for a sure try with a hack through only for Henry to come out of nowhere clearing the ball away.Well Done young man, with only 14 men think all the Bees lads gave a good account of them selves and great team spirit, but once again Huddersfield wasn't going down without a fight, lack of correct tackling allowed them to take more points from the Bees to set up an exciting last 10 minutes of the game, neither team backing down, Byron picking the ball up from the base of the ruck to charge down the touchline brushing off tackle after tackle to set up great platform for the Bees to work from, which they did pulling Huddersfield defense one way then the other stretching them for Rees to take the ball up field. With Huddersfield giving away a late penalty Dom Kicking to touch gave a super position for the Bees forwards to work from, winning the line out to get the maul working and driving them self's over the line with Byron and Jarred both having a hand on the ball at the same time, Byron yielding to Jarred giving him the try also the final points of the game.
Its always been a close fought game between these two team and both teams playing really well today with some great rugby on display so WELL DONE to all the boys.
Bees MoM this week went to Kyle for his all round game today WELL DONE. Big thank you to our parents and there continued support it hasn't been the best of seasons for our boys with floods, lack of numbers and so on but have done us all proud .
Final Score Bees 25 Huddersfield 17.
