Passion And Courage Overload.

Another trip up to the Dales only this time a little wetter, from the first game of the season back in September, we visited Wharfdale in the Yorkshire cup, on that day the sun was out and shining down on us.
We turn up at Wharfdale full of confidence from the first game Bees was the victors, but as the lads arrived one by one it became clear we was light on the ground with players, with the last player to hit warm up was was going in to the game with only thirteen, so for the second week we was playing short, Wharfdale wasn't having this problem looking at there full squad of twenty, tough day at the office then it is.
Wharfdale was clear in there intentions to use there extra men to good effect, just someone forgot to tell the Bees team, as we started the stronger and put Wharfdale under pressure, the forwards recycling the ball from the rucks allowing our backs to attack it was twinkle toes Henry to exploit a gap with Byron on his shoulders to take the offload and using his power to good effect brushing of tackles to take the first score of the game, Byron would prove to be a hand full for Wharfdale with his breaks from the scrums and breakdowns, but think he may of left his kicking boot at home this week.
It wasn't long before Wharfdale was on the score board using there extra men to good effect and moving the ball around, Bees lads never gave up and still tried to move the the ball around Wharfdale was able to pick up on an way ward pass to take the lead.
Wharfdale thought they could out muscle us in the forwards by trying to go through the middle only to be stopped at every attempted, with what i can only describe a huge hits, this was a clear message from the Bees that Wharfdale would have to use another route to win the game, it finished 12-5 at half time to Wharfdale.
Second half saw Bees with a second wind to move the ball about with the twins being there bullish self's running the ball in hard and gaining ground, for the back to attack with, Henry chipping the ball over the top now an sure he will claim he meant to do this am sure. but Tom O timed his run to perfection to catch it an have room to attack only to be brought down short, the forward battled to gain the ball back for Rhys to get on to the score sheet, it was evident the Bees lads was tired with all the defending as Wharfdale kept probing the defensive line, credit to our boys the tried hard to keep Wharddale out, which they did our limited numbers in the backs and forwards was working well again attacked Wharfdale line forwards making great ground for Jarred to claim his points, Bees was feeling the could take the win with the way they was attacking, if not for some way ward calls by the official which had us scratching our heads wondering, but Wharfdale was able to capitalize from the decisions to take the points and in turn win the game.
Final Score Wharfdale 22-15 Bees
We can be very proud of the boys each and everyone of them, working so hard for each other almost taking the game this is way we gave MOM to the team from one to thirteen u all played with heart and passion, yes the game didnt go our way but think we can claim a moral victory today so well played boys. Would like to say a big welcome finally to Ben Sutcliffe to the team thrown in at the deep end today a little but fit in nicely worked hard in attack and defense well done young man.
Again a big thank you to our parents for the taxi service for our boys and sure you are all so proud of them as we are as the coaching staff. lads please try your best to get to training we understand it exam year, but could be a welcome break from all the studying. Keep Up All The Hard Word.
