It was U10 the last time bees beat old brods our boys did it in style could of been a lot more..

Easter break over with and the fixtures back on saw the bees boys away to old brods .
Our boys fired up for this game as the last time bees beat old brods was around the U10s so they wanted this so much, the lads have been working on there game all season in training also in-field of play, there support play has been huge this season with fantastic team spirit .
So with the wind at our backs the first half going down hill we need to get points on the score board as it was a very strong wind which could play its part in the out come of the game, to be fair to the boys there game spoke for its self with the way we tuck the game to old brods, from the start our pack showing its strength in pushing old brods of the ball at times with easy feeding our backs plenty of ball to attack the old brods defensive line, it wasn't long before we got the start we deserved with moving the ball out wide for kyle to open the scoring, with very strong winds Byron using it well to convert the first of his three conversions out of five, this seemed to kick start us to even more .Alvaro being his dangerous best at scrum half fed the backs well and going on his sniping runs we have all come to enjoy this season, this is were we extended our score off the back of one of his runs for a ruck to form when incomes man mountain Connor to pick and driver over the try-line in first half it was evident no matter what attack old brods mounted the bees coped with it having a strong defense, turning the ball over it was jarrad turn to get on the score board with both twins again playing hard aggressive but fair rugby ripping ball after ball from the grips of the old brods players.
Old brods tried to move the ball about and was showing that they had some speed in there back line moving the ball out wide to good effect but the bees defense held fast with what l can only say was my moment of the match award going to a team try starting deep in our own half with Henry feeding his backs to move the ball wide to then set up the pack to driver the ball forward then the backs turn, am almost sure everyone one of the boys had a touch in this move but it was Byron with his strength to push old brods back and going towards the try-line to be taken down just short for him to pop the ball up so sweet for Connor to score it was in that move we lost Matty bell with a dislocated shoulder from the coaches and the team we wish him all the best an speedy recovery. Its also at this point we started to see frustration creep into some of the old brods players with some wayward tackles coming in on our lads to which the there coach who was refereeing the game chose to ignore but the bees boys just carry on with there game plan with a little towing and frowing it was Alvaro to break down the wing, being very slippery and breaking tackle after tackle to score a great individual try, that should of been half time with one of the old brods coaches signalling to the ref time was up only for him to ignore him to which old brods manged to go over to score. Second half started with brods seeming fired up with the wind and down hill advantage pinned the bees deep in there half and with wave after wave the bees held out turning the ball over to make ground up field, with jacko playing at inside center having a big game handing brods tacklers off and moving the ball out wide bees got to 10 meters out for Alvaro to charge for the line going under the posts for the ref to disallow the try claiming double movement with brods kicking game making goodfor them in clearing there try line, moved down field with Dom collecting the ball and kicking to clear his try line to allow his defense to reset way great thinking, only for old brod player to knock the ball on in full view of the ref was allowed to carry on and score there last try but as the first half brods frustration was evident with very late tackle going in on our boys also body checks going in the ref allowing this to go unchecked, but to the bees credit they just played rugby, it was bees to have the last say of the game, final score bees 36 old brods 12. MOM this week went to Luke for his reading of the game and running some great lines make good yards for his team.
All the boys had a fantastic game and put in a good hard shift today and that's why we have had a huge and successful season so far so a big pat on the back to u all boys WELL DONE.
What was very disappointing and disgraceful was to hear from our boys being spoken too by the referee in what can only be called foul and abusive manner for someone in a position like that should never speak to kids in that manner and in a little way marred the result maybe he should consider another sport to coach or ref .
Once again a big thank you to our parents for there continued support on a very cold and windy day you have all played a massive part in the boys success this season and has made it all worth while getting up on cold wet and wind Sunday morning and the boys having a fantastic set of parents the lads are a credit to you all.
So lads down to training for our next game Morley away so lets work hard the numbers at training has been a huge part of your success and made the coaches jobs that much easier.
