Bees doing the double over Harrogate .fair play to Harrogate for coming to wagon lane with a weaken squad...

It was nice to come down to wagon lane with no snow or rain or iced over pitches what greeted us was almost spring like conditions with the sun popping out .
There seemed to of been a mix up with the start time being given to both team differently as we strolled into the changing rooms for Harrogate to have already been there since 10 o'clock we was given a 12 o'clock kick-off all we can do is apologise to Harrogate for the missed communication.
With half term upon us we was missing a few of the squad enjoying the holidays, it look like Harrogate had been hit a lot harder missing a lot of player fair play to them to travel to wagon lane, with a great sportsmanship mentality we had 3 of our boys playing for gate to make the numbers up and a big thanks to the two boys from our U16s team who was training at the time to make up to 15 a side .
It was bees that started of with a great chase and Alavro attacking the Harrogate line and winning the ball back with great support from Byron and strong running he went over in the corner within the first minute this seemed to set things up for the way bees was going to attack this game, bees enjoyed a brilliantly spell were we saw new boy Will score his first try showing his speed and running around and through Harrogate tackles , with some good rucking and bees pack getting on top of Harrogate it was the turn of the other wing and speedy Will McCallum to show his heels to the Harrogate defence and over he went the danger of scoring quick trys is that you can maybe lose focus and shape, this l think is what happened to the bees, we allowed Harrogate to have some possession and they played well with ball in hand and moving the ball up field into the bees half, but just didn't seem to convert pressure into points so it was bees turn to move the ball with our pick and drive working well and then quick ball out to the back to move up field it was Jarred driving for the try line and scoring.just don't think Harrogate could cope with our power runner's the likes of Byron, Connor, the twins ,Alvaro and Ruh with his hard work paying off with a try, Connor also got in on the act with the first of his trys with his usual hard work and running, first half finished with the bees leading 33-0.
Second half Harrogate came out and put lots of pressure on the bees defence pulling us from one side to the other but the bees line held fast, with quick hands and a good break by Byron gave us the upper hand and it was big man Connor to pop up for his second of the game think bees was enjoying them self's too much, allowed Harrogate to work there way up field with some good rucking and running lines through there backs, to go over for there try but back up the field the bees went pulling Harrogate's defence apart for Ruh to go over to claim his second of the game with Byron kicking three conversions the final score was bees 46-Harrogate 5. MoM went to Dom playing full back his reading of the game was excellent and he enjoyed running with ball in hand making good yards and creating good platforms for his team to work from well played .once again thank you parents for the support hope you enjoyed the weather this morning and a good game of rugby.Thank you again to the boys in giving there all playing for Harrogate it's hard playing against your team mates, as for training l think the boys now them selves what they need to work on so keep up the hard work in training and lets prepare for the next game. WELL DONE BOYS.
