A very confident performance

Bees were on the road again our travels saw us at Harrogate with only Ruh missing it was a fantastic turnout. With commitments over the last few weeks have seen some weakened numbers to the squad to the last few games so gave the coaches a better opportunity to call on the boys over the course of the game and bring fresh legs on, helps and keeps the pressure on the opposing team .So to the start with Harrogate fielding a mixed team made up of some of there 1st team and development squads we could see it was going to be a well contested game, with our lads playing a tough game the week before and coming out the victors we wasn't sure if the lads had a bit of a hangover from that, well we needn't of worried as they came out with all guns blazing with Harrogate kicking to us to start the game right from the off the lads showed they was going to take the game straight to Harrogate and with quick hands and good use of the ball controlled by our forward this gave the backs the ball and down the line it went to Matty on the wing we have seen his pace over the last few weeks so now what he is capable of doing, so from half way backed him self going round the defence and over for the opening score. Think this may of shell shocked Harrogate as they seem to go to sleep, with our forward dominating theres in the breakdowns and the scrums and fitness it wasn't long before we was going over for the next try (sorry if l get them in the wrong order ) l believe it was Alvaro that takes the honours with a well work try through the forward taking us up the field with some great hard work pushing Harrogate all the way and really starving them of any ball for most of the first half confidence and a strong belief in them selves is what stood out in this game, the support play from the boys which is something they have been working on in training (keep it up ) l think it was jarred that clams the next score with his hard work rate all game paying off, it seemed that a big score could be on the cards with the way the lads were playing, Harrogate just couldn't get into the game, next to score Matty for his second again great play with the backs and his speed and hand offs Harrogate couldn't touch him, l think Harrogate may of court us napping and with some phases of there own went over. Best way to deal with that is to go straight back at them and with Henry and his bag of tricks did just that with a show here and a show there dummied his way over the line, that finished the first half so down hill for the second half and think Harrogate knew it was going to be a tall order against a very strong and confident bees, but they moved the ball about and managed to go over for two more trys, our boys by this time was having fun with it but still showed Harrogate respect it was Rhys that went over with his strong running and determination. Then Will with what i think was try of the game, Harrogate had work there way up to our line and thought they were on for the try, when with great support we turned the ball over a pass from Byron to Will and there was no stopping him with Harrogate chasing him down he went the full length of the field, with his defensive play all game earned him MoM .we could mention all the boys for there performances. It was Alvaro that went over for his second of the game by now you can tell Harrogates heads had gone down, it was Byron to finish off the day with his strength to cut through Harrogate defence to go over and kicking 7 of 9 conversion. What a performance by the boys we also had a second award to give out as the moment of the match and this went to kyle with a charging run and a hand off that sent this poor lad flying think Leeds Bradford airport wasn't expecting a new arrival. Great game lads it was disappointing to see Harrogate's squad and coaching staff who was hosting the game not staying in there own clubhouse and leaving straight after the game . There is still work to do in training and the number we are getting even with the cold and wet nights are fantastic well done boys and to the parents again many thanks for your continued support, let keep this going boys what a season so far .
