Another great day at the office

Bradford and Bingley welcomed Morley to wagon lane and with both teams missing some player's to the county trials (good luck to the boys ) which is a credit to both clubs.
So to the game you could see that the bees were looking to keep up the confidence and great form they have started the season with. For once Bradford seem to be the bigger of the two teams which may of surprised some we are used to being the smaller team. With a great start from our forwards in the first altercations with the Morley forwards bees struck first to open the scoring of the two teams this seemed to give the lads a big boost in taking the game to Morley but with the game we had last season against them we knew its was going to be a hard slog they don't lie down for anyone and gave a great performance there forwards having a lot more of the ball at the breakdowns in the first half, but they just didn't seem to be able to convert it into real pressure, and just didn't seem to be there day with there final pass not really connecting. The game seemed to go through a stop start period where neither team seem to get the better of each other and just shows you should always play to the whistle, but our lads seem to just pip it in that we had better possession of the ball in our hands so were able to attack Morley's line a lot better than what they could do to ours. Our defence held on for several attacks which gave us a first half lead of 12-0.The second half saw Morley and credit to them keep to there game plan at the start of the second half, and with several silly penalties by our boys in our 22, this shows we still have a few things to iron out in training, ie controlling the loose ball and not just standing and watching the ball bobble about on the floor, we need better support to player's at the breakdowns .Morley didn't need telling twice to score there only points of the game this seemed to wake our lads up again and they in reply stepped there game up which created some of our better rugby and we can see a glimpse of what we can do with ball in hand. Ruh carried on with his try fest and adding another 2 to his collection with some great running then Rhys getting in on the act with a well worked try great hard work with his running and tackling and then to Byron proving far to strong for Morley with the lines he was running and also stepping up his tackling, scoring a hat trick of trys only for one to be cancelled out with a questionable forward pass called. He set his team up with some great platforms to take advantage of, then Matty making his debut at fullback showed his pace in returning the ball back to Morley with we can only describe as snake like ability to avert tackles and make some great yards. Now to our wearer of the man of the match dicky bow, Connor for the second week has showed what a powerful runner he is, on one of his returns of the ball almost went the full length of the field even Usain Bolt would of had trouble keeping up, and his great attitude in the forwards, his work rate and his leadership in the forwards pulling them together, we can see more great things to come.I would like to mention Pat playing in a position he is not used to, respect to him for having ago and linking the forwards and backs well. We can say all our squad have a great attitude in wanting to work hard and win and saw this from all the boys today it was a pleasure to watch and their desire to play for each other. A massive thank you to the parents for the fantastic support you are giving the team and it is great to see so many on the side lines as well, your just as much apart of the confidence that is running through the team at the moment and long may it last. It is fantastic to see the number at training which makes for the performances like today so lets get down to training and keep up the hard work. WELL DONE
