Bees take the spoils in local derby.

So the start of the new season sees the Bees take on local rival Keighley which makes for a good game with Bees taking the spoils from there last encounter last season. With the loss of some players in the closed season and the recruiting of some new lads to our ranks seems our great name has reached the shores of Europe and it was our new young man from Spain that opened the scoring Alvero making some great darting runs from the base of the rucks and it was our forwards that laid way to great balls for the backs to use and gain yards in the first half. It was starting to be a great team effort in the way we carryied the ball and not allowing Keighley to get into the game which gave us a 22-10 lead going into the second half. The confidence was running through the team at the start of the second half but credit to Keighley they stuck to their game and started to get more into the game and we allowed them to so they brought the game back to 22-17. We were starting to show our fitness levels could still be worked on but again we gained yards with the backs running some great lines which results in us extending our lead but with the game going to and fro we seemed to have the better of the position. So to the score with Ruh scoring a hatrick and with Alvero ,Henry, and a special mention to Harry scoring his well worked try and beating several Keighley players, well done. Byron settling into his kicking picking up 3 from4 conversion. M.O.M. went to Theo with his strong running around the ruck area .Well done lads for a great team win you all work hard for each other and the more we get down to training the more we can work hard and carry this form on to the next match and rest of season.
