It wasn't pretty but its a win!

Well it took a little time coming but at last we notched up our first win of the season and while it wasn’t pretty it was a much improved performance on last week. The tackling by everybody was far better and most of the time our running lines were either straight or inspired choices of angled running which created tries !
The forwards picked up their game and competed in the rucks but there is still room for improvement. Once again Theo lead the way with his direct driving runs and mauls which earned him forward of the match. In the backs, Ruh finished off 2 out of 3 great try scoring chances but didn’t get the hat trick as the third was held up. Ruh please pass it next time…….Byron you shout for it next time ! Pat scored a great try after taking a good pass from Byron and then cut in under the posts but playmaker and back of the match was Jacko. He is starting to read the game well, first, with his angled run across to the blindside with the ball making its way to Ruh for a try. Second, a magnificent punt into space which got us out of our half and he followed it up well to create another try scoring opportunity.
Morley fought back late on but we held on for victory. Final score Bees 17 Morley 10.
