Chris led a brisk warm up and the conditions were excellent with the sun out and little wind.

The score was tight and there were some scintillating tries as the lads communicated well and got the ball out to the wings to see the likes of Charlie and G Willie profiting. Even Josh scored a nice try from some distance out having the confidence to go for it himself. There was some great tackling and grafting from Kieran, Nathan, Fernando and DB. Out on the other wing there was some probing attacking moves by Ollie who unfortunately was on the wrong end of some stiff Skipton defending. Nonetheless, he battled on and earned a well deserved Man-of-the-Match award, with Nathan coming a close runner-up.

Skipton had two particular players of note who caused us some grief however the lads didn’t give up in terms of tackling, rucking and supporting each other.
