Cleckheaton 12 – 6 Bees

An exciting day for the players, parents, grandparents and coaches as we had our first match as u9s against our friends in Cleckheaton.
Both sides stated well , with some great tackling in midfield, but a series of turnovers lead to four quick tries from the home side.
Bees showed great perseverance and managed 6 tries from:

Unfortunately Cleckheaton were just too strong for us on the day scoring another 8 tries but the coaches were all very proud of the effort put in by the team. We have lots to learn and we will get better and better over the next few weeks. Man of the match was George W for his great running and fearsome tackling.
