Now thats a team effort

It was great to see the boys hard work paying off with the under 9's really getting it together and playing as a team! Passing and support play really paid dividends today and victory came the Bees way in an end to end thriller against local rivals Baildon.

It was great to see that although some good individual play added to the score, the whole team performed and every single player made a difference.

Tries from Sam P linking up with George for one of the best pieces of try scoring yet, adding to the tally were Sam C, Ben, George, Koben, Tom, Thomas, Dominic and a very near miss from Seth who responded by putting in an awesome tackle to allow his side to re-group and defend.

Most of the tries were set up by outstanding effort and support play, Both Sam's , George, Dominic and Koben adding pace while Thomas, Tom, Seth and Ben provided a fantastic work rate and drive which allowed us to gain ground.

Strong in defence, George and Dominic where always there to make sure no one was allowed a free run - stopping 4 otherwise certain opposition tries. Sam C grit his teeth and held a try up before being supported by his mates all players made great tackles.

George was awarded best tackler for his very reliable defending and a real contender for the trophy was Ben who, once again showed leadership and awareness of the offside rule.

Man of the match selection was the toughest decision since the start of the season and was awarded to Koben who showed great pace and most of all made efforts to involve some of the newer team members.

It was a great game to watch mainly because the boys used the ball and other players to gain ground, and capitalise as a team when the opportunity arose to push back an attack from Baildon, who played well and made this a great contest and both sides should be proud of themselves.
