Ilkley and Old Brodlians

The opening game of the season became a double header against Ilkley first and Old Brodlians second.
Ilkley - 12 tries Bees 5
The game commenced under the new tackling rules. Both sides took time to bed in however as the game progressed, there was a definate improvement in the Bees tackling, support and attacking play. The score did not represent the Bees capabilities and commitment, however now "blooded", it gives us a platform for positive progression and increased focus. Well done to our newcomers Seth and or Rohan in their first appearances for the Bees. 3 tries for George Hahn and one a piece for Luka Antanaskovic and Thomas Carnelley. Great support play and running noteably by Luka Antanaskovic, Lucas Hibbert and the Sam's Conroy, Parry and Mantle. Great pick up and pass by Seth.

Old Brodlians - 12 Bees 6
The standard of tackling improved significantly from the first game and noteable contributants were Ben Feather, Nate Mcynitre and Sam Conroy. There were great runs from the Sam's, Dominic Kirton, George Hahn, Adam Sains, Thomas Carnelley and the new boy Rohan Thaper on his debut.

Man of the mathch awards went to the "ferocious" Luka Antanaskovic and the talented George Hahn.

John and I wish to thank Michael Antanaskovic for completing the online match report enabling us to keep track of the boys performance and pinpoint areas for improvement together with other considerations such as spellin and accuraci!!!

Our thanks once again to the boys and the parents for their support and appologies for the poor standard refereeing!!

Tuesday training at 6:30 @ Beckfoot again - Areas for improvement tackling (low), support play. Any suggestions, as ever, welcome.
