Once again this was a tale of two halves.
We will return to the first half in due course!
However, the second half was played with passion, some solid defending and at last the boys began to believe in themselves and put into action the skills that are being coached into them during mid-week training.
Samuel Mantle took the try after solid work from Rohan Thaper with Sam Bryan converting against a single try from Wharfedale.
However, by the time the referee had blown for half time, the game had moved away from Bees and they were trailing 37-0 after a series of handling and decision making errors gifted tries to Wharfedale, who took full advantage of the situation.
The boys cannot afford to lose the game in the first half and must start with the intensity and passion needed to take the game to the opposition.
On this occasion, the score did not reflect the potential that this side undoubtedly has and we will work on the positives that came out of the game ready for our next fixture.
On a positive note – a full squad turnout of 19 players made themselves available for this game – well done.
Lots to work on again in training before our next test away at Otley in 2 weeks.
