Dream start to season

This week saw Colne & Nelson travelling to Wagon Lane. New opponents for Bees U15's this season so a bit of an unknown.

It wasn't long (2mins) until the first score was on the board, Bees taking the lead with Bobby Darbyshire going over, this was not converted so the score 5-0. Next to go over was another Bees newcomer this season Josh Tenniswood again not converted so Bees edged 10-0 ahead.
Two more tries were added before half time again by Bobby Darbyshire and Joel Waddington, one of which was converted by Ben Hemsley taking the half time score to 22-0 to Bees.

The second was soon underway and saw Bees increase the lead further with Jake Brett going over again not converted so the score was 27-0. Colne & Nelson were digging in and not giving up but were struggling to match the strength and pace of the Bees. Joel Waddington was next over the whitewash notching up his second try, this was converted by Bobby Darbyshire to add the extra 2 points, 34-0. Joel was next over again completing his hat trick, Harry Normington converted taking the score to 41-0.
From the kick off Bobby Darbyshire caught the ball and ran straight through the defence to score and complete his hat trick, 46-0.
Colne & Nelson rallied and held Bees in their own 22 for a time and with a slip in discipline and several penalties conceded Colne & Nelson went over to get their first try.
Another try for the unstopapble Bobby Darbyshire took the final score to 51-5.

Another great win adding to the great start this season.
