Welcome to Castleford ! We thought the lads played some of their best rugby they have played all season in the first 15 minutes or so in the match yesterday. Their picking up and driving, rucking over the ball, recycling and driving forward again is what we all want to see. Maybe we should play uphill like that every week ! It is the only way to play on a pitch like that and while our backs struggled a little we got a hard earned try to their 2 tries. Then came the second half and we got an early try forcing the pressure on to Castleford. Clearly they could not handle it and that’s when the high tackles and incidents off the ball began but we were pleased to see the lads kept their heads and stuck to the task of playing rugby. This lead to another try for Bees but in the end it just wasn’t enough as we missed our conversions and they won 19 points to 15. We were particularly proud of the lads for sticking together and keeping their cool. It was a great team effort and a morale victory. It was also great to see our lads in shirt and tie in the bar after the game; where were the opposition !
