The first game saw the Bees face their bogey team of Cleckheaton in a match that wasnt reflected by the final score.

Normal service will be resumed next week when Jim is back. A few words about today.....So proud of the performance, the lads put a real shift in and there were some bruised and sore players at the finish. A huge thank you to those lads playing out of position and out of their comfort zone. Namely Will Mc at full back, Jack C at 2nd row and centre, Nicky at centre and most of all to George who worked his socks off as stand in prop. High praise too for Dom and Bentos turning up to support their mates despite their injuries. Aside from the men of steel Rui and Alex there were so many great performances. Too many to list but Nicky taking down the man mountain with his nose was pretty impressive as was Jays tackling on the wing. The only thing I would add is Theo's performance as pack leader showing a turn of pace, hard work and grit in the rucks and mauls.

The whole of the pack should be aware that all the Cleck coaches I spoke to were taken aback at the power of our rucking, Jim and Darren would have been proud! I won’t say much about Henry"s "moment" except to say he owes Tom a pint ( of lemonade) for sparing his blushes.
