BEES U13s fight on to the end to take on the quarter finals.

Despite an uncertain start due to hurricane Florence that challenged the prospect of a cancelled match the game was confirmed by Mega Watts in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Arriving with a trimmed down turn out of 13 players the BEES knew they were in for a full game. Firm words from Head Coach Boss Hogg and Tom Beesman Senior, gave the BEES a clear view of what to expect with a reminder of our injured and missing players, Magic Dan, Bilal Sniper, Fernando Galatico, Oliver Hercules and our prop forward, Curly, Chieftain Tank. 110% effort was required from all players - and that they did.

Captain George W, 'Bite Yer Legs' led the U13s into battle against a hard and physical Middlesbrough team. Some great effort from our forwards Ismail - Rocket man, Isaac - Tomahawk, James - The red amber and black engine, Nathan -Boss Hogg and Thomas The Warhorse who worked hard on the scrums, feeding the ball through the gate for Jacob - Killer Watts to offload the ball down the line to Jack - Green Demon, and George F - Anaconda, both in position to work the line and draw in the opposition.

Much improved rucking from the BEES with Killer Watts always in prime position to offload down the line, to Green Demon, The Laughing Assassin supported by some great footwork from Isaac Tomahawk and Jimmy King Cobra.

Winger Harry Houdini flew and worked the touch line for BEES with some great defending and attacking but a knock removed him from the game taking the BEES team down to 12. Soon to follow was Jimmy King Cobra who also took an injury, but living upto his name rejoined a few mins later once Matron Sally had given him the all clear!

Fantastic support from Joe - The laughing Assassin who fought hard against Middlesbrough and was quick to the rucks, winning the ball for BEEs countless times, to take the glory of two tries fro BEES. Although his hard work came to a an end with an injury to his knee in the second half, but amazing work.

Supporting the line as always was Charlie - The Flying Beesman - always giving Middlesbrough a good run for their money, and continued to steal possession for the BEES taking home five tries for the BEES.

The boys looked strong a half time and Middlesbrough pushed back in the second half to steal another three tries, none the less they weren't a match for BEES and despite the BEES only having ten players against Middlesbrough's 12 players in the last 15-mins - they fought on hard as true warriors to win the game 35-25.

Man of the match today was - The Team!

Great effort boys - you've made us all super proud today both as a parent, coach and manager!

Andy Mega-Watts.
