BEES U13s worked a hard game, stuck to game plan to take the win.

A snappy Wharfedale breeze welcomed the BEES this morning with a great turn out 16x buzzing BEES - missed absences from 'Magic Dan' and Bilal 'Sniper'. Today's appointed captain was 'Bite Yer Legs', George Williams who led the team out against to what was expected to be a tough game against the Wharfedale giants.

The first few minutes was led by Bite Yer Legs with a great advantage forward, but soon the Wharfedale machine fought back to take a 50m sprint to the BEES goal line taking the lead 1-0 to Wharfedale. Stunned, Mega Watts, Boss Hogg Senior and the Beesman Senior muttered a couple of magic words and soon the BEES headed back heads up. Led again by Bit yer legs Williams, with a great counter attack to offload to Charlie the Flying Beesman taking the first try for BEE's - 1-1. And then the BEES turned the screw and drove the ball into the Wharfedale half, drawing them in on the line and offloading down the line to take another try scored by our demon Spanish mover Galatico Fernando.

The BEES gathered pace throughout the first half, with some attacking scrums from the BEEs led by our front row The Chieftain Tank, Curly and Isaac Tomahawk with our quick footed hooker Rocket Man Ismael, the BEES were on top of their game.

Great offloading both from the scrums and on the rucks, Jacob Killer Watts offloaded some great balls throughout the game to our fly half Galatico passing to Isaac Tomahawk again who went on to score a great headline grabbing try, cutting through the Wharfedale defence for a 30m sprint to the try to take another try for the BEES.

Then Oliver Hercules led a magic run for nearly the whole length with an 80m run, handing off the Wharfedale defence to reach the try line... or so we thought and I think he did to, but mistakingly placed it before the try line! Mega Watts had words at half time about the position of try lines... and so we carry on...

The Red, Amber and Black engine James worked his magic throughout the game with some great defensive work, tackling and working in the rucks supported by Boss Hogg driving the Wharfedale defence back to their line. Green Demon Hewitt was on fit form today and in the first 20minutes took a speeding attack at the Wharfedale defence offloading to Charlie, Flying Beesman to take another try for BEES.

Halftime, the BEES were leading 6 - 2, but soon Wharfedale were back, and with some quick thinking from Wharfedale they caught out the BEES sleepy defence to take another try for Wharfedale. Fortunately the BEES had their fighting spirits with them today and came back as one team, offloading down the line to play the ball to Anaconda Fryers to take a 70m sprint to score a try.

Our number 8, Warhorse Thomas pushed the players back with some great handoffs, shifting the Wharefdale defence further back with The Laughing Assassin Joe, always there to support the line in strength and balanced runs. Despite having no shorts (but did have tracksuit bottoms!), King Cobra Jimmy - made some great offloads to Harry Houdini, not to mention his tackling (some work to do there Boss Hogg Senior!), to take the BEES gain line within 20m of the Wharfedales goal. Killer Watts offloaded the ball down the line offloading finally to Captain George Bite Yer Legs who went onto score another try for BEES. And so the game went on to end with a great day for both teams with an unbelievable win for BEES.

Congratulations to Man of the match Tomahawk, Isaac Middleton and best attitude to Ishmael Rocket Man.

Tries scored by Charile - Flying Beesman; Isaac - Tomahawk; George Williams - Bite Yer legs; George Fryers - Anaconda and Galatico Fernando.

Big thanks to our hosts Wharfedale and wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

Well done boys - big match next Sunday Yorkshire Cup against Middlesborough at Home... lets keep up the great work!
