BEES WORK UP SOME MAGIC AND NO TIME TO SETTLE FOR NORTH RIBB!

Fine morning welcomed the BEES playing away at North Ribbersdale this morning, with a near to full squad turnout and just one man down - our legendary 'Magic Dan'!

After a nervous 30 minute warm up the BEES can into the game with a slow start, North Ribbersdale taking some gain out of the BEES defence to push them back and within the first 5 minutes North Ribbersdale were leading 5-0. Gasp, gulp... Boss Hogg, Mega Watts and Beesman Senior started to march the touchlines... but then... the magic began. Captain Joe, the laughing assassin, led the team with some deadly moves and brought the attacking line into North Ribbs half. Fast offloads from Jacob, Killer Watts to Fernando Galatico, down the line to Bite yer legs George W and final offload to Charlie The flying Beesman who pushed back their defensive line and gave their winger a run for the money to score the BEES first try - 5-5.

The BEES were off... this was the break and confidence they needed and by the second quarter, the BEES machine was on full steam, with some fine attacking from DB The Warhorse, supported by Isaac Tomahawk, great support from Galatico, The Warhorse, James - The red Amber and black engine and Killer Watts quickly offloading the ball from the rucks. Galatico made a great break through scoring another try for the BEES stealing the lead 10-5.

Some great runs from all the boys today but special moments from Harry Houdini who was always there to support the runners and put pressure on the North Ribb defence; George F Anaconda who took a 20m power run through Ribbs defence only to be tackled 5m short of the try line; Nathan Boss Hogg for a fantastic drive in the third quarter and The laughing assassin who led his team to a great victory with The Flying Beesman finishing off taking five tries for the BEES.

Great work in the scrums from Curly The Chieftain tank and Rocket Man Ismail.

Special acknowledgements goes to Oliver Hercules for making some great runs one in particular 5m short of the try line and for fighting on after Matron Sally had wrapped him up! Another nod to Bite Your Legs George Willie for upholding the best attitude throughout the game.

Finally The Flying Beesman Charlie, for his consistency in delivering tries, speed and tireless efforts both on the pitch and off the pitch this season, and deservedly was awarded man of the match today.

Well done everyone - great game!
