If we had the lads it would be different.

It was always going to be difficult travelling away to Wharfedale but with 11 players and then you find you have not one but two games, Wharfedale and Southport on tour, it suddenly became extremely difficult.

The 11 lads that played stepped up to the plate and were helped out by both Wharfedale and particularly Southport players. Our first half performance against Southport was outstanding but they seemed to step up a gear in the second half and inflicted a heavy defeat. With little time to refresh we started well against Wharfedale but with tired legs some of our lads found it hard to tackle. There was no doubt about our Man of the Match in both games this week and that was Dominic who barely put a foot wrong, made a fantastic try saving tackle against Southport and carried on despite the full force of somebody’s studs on his thigh ! Stud marks to be proud of !
