What a team performance, tries from everywhere and some great work from all.

We were visited by Airebrough this weekend. After a tough away fixture earlier in the season, which we just about won, the lads seemed determined to chalk up another win. The conditions, although very cold, looked like they would suit our style of play. A few players down we had Jam and Charlie join Airebrough to make their numbers up in the first half with Bentos and Nicky doing likewise in the second period. A big thanks lads, we appreciate you do not come down on a Sunday to play for other teams but it was far too cold for any of you to be stood about.

Despite talking about how slow, scrappy starts have cost us games this season we seemed to make hard work of things for the first 10 minutes or so. Eventually we got into our rhythm passing the ball down the line to our own prop / winger George Eatwell who scored a great try showing fantastic pace and strength. This seemed to settle the lads down giving them the confidence to start passing the ball around. I even heard Patrick, Henry and Ruh discussing moves!!.

The lads quickly scored further tries through Henry, Ruh and Alex giving us a good lead by halftime. By the time we started the second half the lads began to keep the ball alive fantastically well. We still had problems in the ruck area, this is something we must improve on for this weeks tough encounter with Huddersfield. Despite this minor criticism we saw the inform Luke making a fantastic burst through the Airebrough defence. We all fully anticipating a pass but Luke had other ideas, he saw the white line, tucked the ball under his arm and put his foot down to score a fantastic try under the sticks. Further tries by Sam, Alex and Tom concluded a solid performance by the lads. All credit to Airebrough who never gave up. They led the way in the scrums and rucks for large periods of the game, something we must improve on boys.

All the lads did well Sunday, from the forwards to young Dominic feeling his way at full back. Yet again very difficult to pick out individual performances when all the lads played so well. One player who continues to improve week after week is Bentos. A solid performance Bentos who was the forwards man of the match. For the backs we have Jay who made some great little runs and more than stood his ground in defence. Well done to both of you.

Result. Bingley 55 Airebrough 0.
