Bees were made to work hard from the start after gifting Roundhesians an interception try in first minute. With Roundhesians not able to contest the scrums the game was played at an unexciting pace but there were some moments of magic starting with Nick Gore skipping in for the first of his four tries and Matt Withers throwing an outrageous dummy to walk in under the posts. Bees added two more tries by half time to make the game safe including one from Luke (The Salmon) Peacock. The second half was more attritional and the Bees suffered a few injuries and a high penalty count but managed to run in two more tries.
