The Bees started well and had three chances to score before Medics broke away and scored first on 15 minutes. By this time Bees had lost Tom Cummins as his ankle injury flared up again and Josh Seal was the first to head to casualty as a loose Medics boot almost tore off his ear. Casualty put him in for immediate plastic surgery and we all wish him speedy recovery. All Bees subs had been deployed before the Medics ran in their third try as George Morris was the next to go to Casualty from a loose knee to the head after he put in a try saving tackle. George has 7 broken bones around his eye socket and is having surgery Sunday. Devastating news.
With forwards now filling keys back positions the game and the Bees already 22:0 at half time the match was effectively over when the Medics ran their 5th try straight from the restart. Phil Greaves was now running on one leg but the Bees enjoyed a good phase and there was a 20 minute very when the Medics defence was again tested but this was not sustainable and once the Bees lost Ben Pearson with a back injury then the Medics picked up the tempo and ran in 4 more tries in the last 15 minutes against 14 players who just wanted the finl whistle.
Disappointing day on the pitch but only concerns are for those injured.
There were great perfomances from the younger players Ryan Joe Harry Alex and George with Harry once again showing great strength in the loose to claim MoM..
