Bees young guns ran riot on Keighley stags with a clinical display in attack and defense.

That time of year again for the Aire Wharfe Cup competition. Bees being drawn against old rivals Keighley, which has always been an entertaining game as derby games always are.
The game being played midweek under flood light adds to the drama. Before the the teams warmed up it looked like a nice evening the sun out, light breeze, then the heavens opened, hail rain turning cold, proper rugby weather.
The Bees coming off the back of a great display at the weekend clocking up fifty three points, but more importantly the display in defense and attack the boys was looking to carry that into this game, boy did they, which i think left Keighley shell shocked.
As you would expect both teams wanting to take home the bragging right of this local derby, so both from the off was up for the challenge, it was the Bees that started the stronger pinning the Keighley back in their twenty two, it wasn't long for the Bees to get on the score sheet. We had a bit of an arm wrestle for the next ten minutes in the middle of the park with the Bees coming out on top as what ever Keighley tried to throw at them, the Bees had it covered and more.
Keighley as always having the bigger pack showed their game plan that was route one up the middle which the Bees defended all game with ease, a positive for keighley was the put the Bees scrum under a lot of pressure throughout the game, but with Bees attacking from allover the pitch Keighley's forwards seemed to lose steam, as our fast hands and whipping the ball out wide every opportunity opening Keighley wide open to run through, equally the Bees defense was well up to the task even when Keighley was camped out on the Bees try line, the bees superb defense held Keighley out, this was just the first half, even when the Bees went down to fourteen players for a team yellow, the ref deeming to many high tackles, they still carried on with the scoring.
The second half was very much the same from both teams, keighley playing with great spirit never gave up, but the Bees over the last few games have been building up to a display like this, each and everyone of the boys put in a shift for each other, for such a young side it plays with a lot of maturity, also having a great coach in Mark Smith couldn't of been happier with what he was watching.
By now the game was beyond Keighley and time against them still carried on playing when some teams might of got their heads down, but tonight came up against a very strong young Bees side, and wish the all the best in the next stages of the Cup.
Final Score Bradford and Bingley 41 - Keighley 0.
The next round of the cup the Bees have been drawn Away to Skipton 1st team on Wednesday 10th April 6:30 KO would be great for you to come and support the boys in their next challenge.
Man Of Match: went to the whole team as each and everyone played out their skins and couldn't really single anyone player out.
