Bees tame high flying Ilkley

A great team effort started on Thursday at training when even the bench trained! With Simon and Alex playing their second games and impressive debuts from Ben and Luke then the omens are good for a much improved 2nd part to the season. Good to have Aaron back after playing twice at start of season.

Bees dominated at the start and Ilkley found themselves 17:0 behind to tries from Sealy and Luke with Jack converting and adding a penalty. Then with Ilkley down to 14 players for 10 mins the Bees stopped playing as a team and sought out every opportunity to irk the referee. Half time 14:17 was u huge disappointment and Ilkley continued to press and went ahead 19:17. This hardened the Bees resolve who began to play hard and fast again as a team and Ilkley struggled to cope with the pressure and Bees won the game with tries from JoeFo and Cummo tropped on his trademark push off try to make the match safe.
