This Saturday, we face Halifax in a Counties 2 tussle at Wagon Lane. As is traditional we will begin the day with a pre-match lunch. As its a 3pm kick off , lunch will be served around 1.30, but we will have the bar open from 12.30. This pattern will be repeated throughout the season.

Members and friends of the club sometimes seem surprised when a fixture rolls around and we ask if they would like to participate in lunch. So in order to get the old diary revved up, we are trying to get this seasons lunches planned well in advance. This is how we are looking at the moment:

18th October we are due to play Halifax Vandals. This lunch does not yet have any theme. So it will be a regular Squeaky Duck Lunch.

15th November, there is no first XV game, but as England play New Zealand with a 3.30 kick off this afternoon,   Possibly a Lamb burger day or other kiwi themed food and drink.

22nd  November, Laund Hill home  This is potentially a Martinez Wines wine tasting with a 3 course meal with 3 wines.  However, as the clocks have gone back this will be a 2.15 kick off, so to fit all the jollification in we will probably start at 12 noon.

6th December Otliensians home – Xmas Jumpers can earn you a discount!

13th December Roundegians home - Possibly fish and chips @£15 as it’s the presidents lunch the following day and you dont want another turkey dinner!

14th December SUNDAY PRESIDENTS LUNCH PLEASE BOOK NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT! We are hoping for another 150 seat sell out. Your President, Mr Tim Robinson has been diligent try working away on preparing this event, and it is always one of the best days of the year. The brass band is booked!

10th January Home Northallerton, nothing specified as yet, but we could try and end dry January on this day!

24th January Ossett home – A lunch for all our Juniors and their dedicated parents, guardians and coaches

21st February No Game  but, it’s ENGLAND V IRELAND, kicking off at 2.10PM. Perhaps it could be Paddy’s Day a bit early?

28th February Baildon home - One of Pretz’s famous Reunions. He has a multitude of suggestions for this seasons big meet up. So more details to follow.

14th March no game  - But it is, ENGLAND V FRANCE in the Old Six Nations.Could be a day for smelly cheese and vino de plonko.

21st  March Home Bridlington COMEDY LUNCH, with Lea Roberts. The Comedy. lunch is always a popular event, so as soon. as we have worked out the pricing tickets will be on sale!

18th April Home Bramley. Last Home Game of the season. There must be a reason to be cheerful, even if its that we have not been relegated.
