Work from Bumbles Coaches paid dividends this weekend as the team coasted to a 45-24 victory over a select Aireborough side.

The game was a fantastic opportunity for Bumbles players to try out new skills in readiness for the Llanelli Warriors visit to the Hive on Sunday 9th March, KO 11AM, Spectators Welcome.

Below is an Aireborugh match report from Bees veteran, Junior Coach and founder of the 'Nearly All Blacks' Maurice Parker. Mo chose to play for Aireborough on this occasion and I am unable to varify a single word of his report.

The Aireborough Perspective.

The excitement started early in the Aireborough camp with the news that seasoned scrum half? Dave Morris was turning out for them and showed his turn of speed early in the game-he had to as he disappeared soon after.Fly half Mo Parker was on the receiving end of some of his excellent passes from the rucks and scrums-for you not conversant with the rugby term, hospital pass.
Cory showed why the forwards should stay in the forwards and not stray into "back" territory where pace and the ability to catch the ball are mandatory.Richard Brook always made himself available-for a pint at the bar was outshone by son Lewis who knows how to run.......away when big Lee ran at him.Flying winger Rob was very healthy-skipper Paul Exley said he could not even catch a cold never mind a rugby ball!
Aireborough welcomed a football player Scott for his first game of Rugby Union and he showed his footballing pedigree by falling over at every opportunity.Tricky and Paddy were the flankers who covered every inch of the park-pity it was in the park with the swings and not on the park where the rugby was played!
Darren Lee a forward with loads of experience (third game) loaned from the Bees Almost All Blacks for a small fee, justified his position with an excellent display and would have been man of the match-if we had one( malicious rumours about him getting my girl a coat for her birthday, cheap, are of course unfounded).
Now for the Exleys, son James playing at full back for the first time showed his versatility(usually a flanker) with his speed, handling ability, tackling and kicking-even found time to smash through the Bumbles defence and generously passed to dad Paul for a walk in try(only thing he did all game).
Bumbles manager Mr. Mark Goodwin was so impressed with the referee Steve Richings,he booked him for the next Bumbles match,I know this because he paid him in advance(I saw the brown envelope change hands).
In all a good game which was enjoyed by players and spectators alike.
